Wanted by Cardinal Branda to shelter poor people and pilgrims,
this building was built only after his death by Nicolao
Castiglioni.
It’s a
typical example of the lombardic XVth century style and it is
refined with a Renaissance portico and columns with stone
capitals.
Inside
the palace, on the ground floor, there’s a large room with a
period earthen flooring and a valuable fireplace in sandstone
whose cowl is decorated with coats of arms.
