It
was one of the two “magnificent palaces” built in the village,
following Cardinal Branda’s wishes, and it is described by
Francesco Pizolpasso, the archbishop of Pavia, at the end of
1431 after being Cardinal’s guest in Castiglione.
Only the typical brick
facade remains today. It has a fine and precious portal made of
sandstone and limestone and adorned with fifteen squares of
bas-reliefs.
